Kaweah Construction Co. Merges With Sister Company

After 58 years of quality service to the construction industry, Kaweah Construction Co. (KCC) will combine our talents and abilities with those of our sister company, W. M. Lyles Co. (WML). Both companies have a long history of successful construction projects dating back to their inceptions; WML in 1945 with a pipeline emphasis and KCC in 1952 with a structural emphasis.

In recent years, both companies have performed similar work constructing infrastructure projects for public works agencies and private customers. The merger of the two companies will allow increased management efficiencies and economies of scale as we continue to pursue projects in this highly competitive segment of the construction industry.

The company merger has already begun with the transfer of some KCC employees to WML and will be fully completed once the current KCC projects are completed in the coming year. Going forward, new projects will be bid and constructed under the name of W. M. Lyles Co.

All of the employees of Kaweah Construction Co. are proud of our company’s past accomplishments as well as our longstanding and rewarding association with our suppliers, subcontractors, design firms, and Owners. We look forward to continuing to work with all of you in the future as we move forward under the name and banner of W. M. Lyles Co.

Kaweah Construction Co. was founded in the San Joaquin Valley community of Visalia in 1952. Since its founding, Kaweah Construction Co. has experienced continued growth. We have earned a reputation as a leader in the construction industry in California. We have placed particular emphasis on reinforced concrete structures and the associated mechanical work required in the construction of water and waste water treatment plants, hydroelectric power plants, co-generation plants, dams and bridges. In addition, Kaweah has the management disciplines to do turnkey design-build work.

We have developed a broad base of customers that includes public agencies as well as private developers. Kaweah's past growth is built on the talent and strength of our employees. Our management, field personnel and office staff provide total support in every phase of construction from planning through completion. Each project is managed by one of our skilled and trained Project Managers who is responsible for estimating, subcontracting, purchasing and field supervision. Our reputation for quality work finished on time and within budget is a result of our Project Managers' painstaking analysis of every construction detail. We demand quality, expect timeliness, and never forget the budget.
